Jiangxi Nancheng Industrial Park was established in 1996, appraised as the “National Model Park for Cooperation Between Township Enterprises in the East and West” by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2000, listed among the six major key industrial parks of Fuzhou (Class II) in 2004, classified as a provincial industrial park in 2006, and evaluated as a provincial base for the processing of agricultural and sideline products in 2010.
Nancheng Industrial Park is close to the Xiangpu Railway, the Fuzhou-Yinchuan Expressway, the Jinan-Guangzhou Expressway, the No. 206 National Highway, the No. 316 National Highway and the Nanchang-Xiamen First-Class Highway. It benefits from favorable transportation location conditions, which provide convenient access to the outside world.
For over 10 years, the park has adhered to the policy of “high starting point in planning, high standard in construction, and high level in service”, and sticks to the principle of “featured direction, regional layout, advantaged competition, and cluster development” in its own construction. At present, the development pattern of the park is “one park consisting of three zones”, namely Jinshankou Industrial Zone, Nationwide Entrepreneurial Zone, and Hedong Industrial Zone. The total planning area is 18,000 mu, of which 8,000 mu has already been developed. There are 123 enterprises in the park, of which 105 have already been put into operation, and 18 are still under construction. Those enterprises have provided over 18,000 jobs. Five industrial clusters, namely food processing, machinery manufacturing, textiles & clothing, pharmaceutical chemicals, and construction materials, have initially been formed in the park. In 2011, the industrial park achieved a total industrial output value of 5.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 32%, gained a main business income of 5.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 32%, and contributed taxes of 146 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 22%. From January to April this year, the total industrial output value hit 1.688 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 14.4%, main business income reached 1.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 14.5%, and taxes contributed totaled 62 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 71.5%.
In 2010, planning began for Hedong Industrial Park, which covers an area of 12,000 mu, and its construction of infrastructure is in full swing. The five pillar industries, namely electromechanics, top grade light textiles, recycling economy, hardware & building materials, and food & medicine, are of huge significance to the development. The park is sparing no effort in building a new industrial city, which has a beautiful environment “suitable for industries, commerce and life”, a balanced ecological environment, and complete functions. Our goal is to build it into a cluster for non-public sectors of the economy, a promised land for farmers to profit from, and a treasured land for coastal areas that covers the inland economy and transfers their industries.
